HAP21 or Healing Arts for Peace in the 21st Century is the platform that presents and discusses the creative works, technical skills and philosophical ideas of Tony Bernardi. Bernardi is an interdisciplinary multi-creative thinker whose ideas, technical work, and creative output reflects his passion for form and meaning in art, philosophy, and science.  This website presents and examines these ideas through a series of blogs.  Also available on this site are samples of Bernardi's past repertoire of works that include writings, music, and visual art as well as ongoing literary works including a novel in progress.  These provide a window into the mental fabric of his creativity.  Through his lifelong journey in art making and creative contemplation, Bernardi has developed ideas about the healing power of creativity.  Creative pursuits can promote peace through a spiritual but rational dimension.  Tony Bernardi, through HAP21, aspires to promote higher values helping to transcend human boundaries through creativity and build a bridge to a peace awakened world in the 21st Century.

 

More about Tony Bernardi

Bernardi has composed, recorded, and produced several electronic music albums and piano solo improvisations available on amazon.com. He has collaborated with notable Washington DC area Choreographers and dancers in staging and producing original works.  His multimedia (electronic music, dance, and film) work "Slightly Uncomfortable" was premiered at the 2006 Capital Fringe Festival in Washington DC.  This work is based on and prominently features the "Kiss of God" by Marshall Stewart Ball, a 20 year old handicapped spiritual poet.

He has published a literary book and authored numerous poetic works and philosophical and spiritual articles. Bernardi composes and produces electronic music and collaborates with other artists in staging works based on his music and other performance art ideas.  His visual art output includes paintings and sculpture in various media.

Bernardi is a lifelong student of A Course in Miracles with a passion for all things philosophical and psychological.  His Blogs contain commentaries on spiritual and philosophical topics.  These blog articles examine ideological perspectives in mysticism and are informed by his pursuit of understanding the meaning ascribed to life and the pursuit of happiness.

Passionate about science and information technology he has also applied his creative abilities as an Information Technology Strategist and Computer Science professional over the past 30 years helping to transform IT organizations.  His accomplishments in the IT field include: Track record evolving IT enterprises to utilize Cloud computing, expand mission growth, and manage big data. Broad functional expertise in implementing laser-sharp strategies and actionable operational plans; Extensive experience sharing insights precisely and logically with non-technical stakeholders, engineers, and ā€œCā€ level executives alike; Personal passion for all things related to science and technology; Adept at leading large diverse teams to achieve common goals with innate collaborative style and bias to action. 

Tony Bernardi also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Engineering from University of Maryland at College Park, Maryland.
